M.D. - a very dear and unwaveringly supportive friend, with whom (and of course Cathy and Mairi) we spent so many wonderful times over the years. An incomparable host, not least as Master of Ceremonies at the Oxford Burns Night Suppers, and of course a prodigious scholar. A truly gentle man: you will always be loved and sorely missed.
